Did you know? There are over 6,000 species of lizards on Earth, which means that no matter where you are, a lizard is probably watching you right now. They're everywhere. They're waiting.
Many lizards can detach their tails when threatened, a process called "autotomy." The tail wiggles around to distract predators while the lizard escapes. This is basically the animal kingdom equivalent of yelling "LOOK OVER THERE!" and running away.
FUN FACT: Some gecko species can walk on walls and ceilings using millions of tiny hairs on their feet. Spider-Man wishes he was this cool.
